01

Who we are

Continental Middle East Properties (CMEP) is a real estate company operating in the United Arab Emirates. For personal data processed through cmep.ae and our related enquiry and recruitment services, CMEP acts as the organisation responsible for deciding why and how that data is processed, except where another party is independently responsible for its own processing.

This Policy is intended to provide clear information about our processing practices and privacy choices. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

02

Personal data we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. We seek to collect only information reasonably needed for the relevant purpose.

  • Enquiry and contact data, such as your name, email address, phone number, message, requested property or project, and the context of your enquiry.
  • Website and request data, such as IP address, browser or device information, user agent, referring page, source page, timestamps, and technical security information.
  • Campaign attribution data, such as UTM parameters, GCLID, WBRAID and GBRAID, when marketing technologies are permitted by your privacy choices.
  • Recruitment data, such as your contact details, CV, cover letter, professional experience, salary or notice information where requested, LinkedIn or portfolio links, and information you voluntarily provide during recruitment.
  • Communication records created when you contact or correspond with our team.
  • Privacy preference records, including an anonymous browser identifier, consent version, the optional categories you allowed or rejected, the time of the choice and the page where the choice was made. This consent record is not linked to your name, email, phone number or lead record.
03

How and why we use personal data

Where applicable law requires consent, we rely on your consent and allow you to withdraw it. Other processing may be carried out where permitted by applicable law for requested services, security, legal compliance, or other legitimate and proportionate purposes.

  • To respond to enquiries, arrange consultations, provide requested property or project information, and manage follow-up communications.
  • To receive and assess job applications and manage recruitment processes.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and systems, prevent misuse, and maintain service integrity.
  • To understand website performance and usage where you have enabled analytics technologies.
  • To measure advertising and campaign performance, attribute enquiries, and operate advertising technologies where you have enabled marketing technologies.
  • To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, security, dispute-resolution or law-enforcement requirements.
04

Cookies, local storage and tracking choices

We use cookies and similar technologies, including local and session storage. Necessary technologies support core website functions, security, language and privacy preferences, form experience, and other features you request. Your current privacy choice is stored in a first-party CMEP consent cookie so the website can apply it before optional tracking technologies are loaded.

Optional analytics and marketing technologies remain off unless you choose to enable the relevant category. Analytics may include Google Analytics. Marketing may include Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, X and Google Tag Manager when those integrations are enabled in our systems.

When you save a privacy choice, CMEP also keeps an anonymous server-side consent event for accountability. The event records the anonymous browser identifier, consent version, enabled categories, server timestamp and source page. We do not attach that consent event to your lead, name, email address, phone number or IP address.

You can accept all optional technologies, reject them, or choose categories separately. You can reopen Cookie Preferences from the website footer at any time. If you withdraw optional consent, the website will stop loading those optional technologies and will attempt to clear accessible optional tracking cookies.

05

Who we may share data with

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose personal data only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and as permitted by applicable law.

  • Authorised CMEP employees and representatives who need the information to handle an enquiry, transaction support, recruitment, administration, security or compliance.
  • Technology and service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, communications, storage, CRM, security, analytics or advertising, subject to appropriate access and processing controls.
  • Developers, property owners, transaction counterparties or business partners where sharing is necessary to progress a specific request or transaction and is permitted by law.
  • Government, regulatory, judicial or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
  • Professional advisers where reasonably necessary for legal, audit, compliance or dispute matters.
06

International processing and transfers

Some technology, analytics, advertising or infrastructure providers may process information in countries outside the United Arab Emirates. Where cross-border processing occurs, we seek to use measures required by applicable UAE data protection law, taking into account the destination, provider and nature of the processing.

07

How long we keep data

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including enquiry follow-up, transaction support, recruitment, security, legal claims, regulatory obligations and record-keeping. Different records may therefore have different retention periods.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or securely isolate it, subject to legal or operational requirements that allow or require continued retention.

08

Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse. Access to sensitive records is limited according to role and business need. Recruitment files such as CVs are intended to be stored in private, access-controlled storage rather than exposed as public website files.

No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore review safeguards according to the nature and risk of the processing.

09

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable UAE law, conditions and exceptions, you may have rights relating to information about processing, access, data portability in qualifying cases, correction, erasure, restriction or stopping of processing, and objection to direct marketing. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

You may also change optional cookie and tracking choices through Cookie Preferences. To exercise a personal-data right, contact us using the privacy contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10

Job applicants

When you apply for a role, we use the information you submit to evaluate your application, communicate with you, administer recruitment and meet legal or business requirements associated with hiring. CVs and supporting files are intended to be accessible only to authorised users rather than through a public file link.

Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in a CV or application unless it is genuinely relevant and lawful to provide.

11

Children

Our real estate and recruitment services are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate authority, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

12

External websites and services

Our website may link to third-party websites, maps, social networks, developers or other services. Those parties control their own privacy practices. This Policy does not govern information you provide directly to an external website or service.

13

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our services, technology, processing practices or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Where a change materially affects a consent choice, we may request that you make that choice again.

14

Contact and privacy requests

For privacy questions, requests or concerns, contact CMEP using the email address shown below or the official contact details published on this website. Please describe the request clearly so we can route it to the appropriate team.
